    Hi Folks,
My friends pc runs Win7 Pro, when a file is right clicked, select 7Zip > compress and email he gets a message 'there is no mail program etc' he has latest version of Win Live Mail & it's set as default.
    Its set in FF options.

I think that feature of 7z doesn't work. I've tried the same, I have outlook as my default mail app and it says:

You might want to try this version to see if it helps,

    7-Zip / Discussion / Open Discussion:7-Zip 9.25 alpha

    - "compress and send to email" code was improved to support more email clients.

Probably a setting then :) You could compare your email & 7zip settings with your friends PC.

I found two more threads with the similar problem.

Are they both particularly 32 or 64 bit?
