Looking for software similar to "Timeout" (logon time limits)
Hi there.
I am looking for some software to impose time limit restriction for logons (with more flexibility than the built in parental controls) and also time limits for running programs (e.g. 2 hours for program X, an hour for program Y, no limit for program Z, etc). It would be nice if it has remote management through a web interface, but that is not essential. I was wondering if anyone has recommendations?
I found Romaco Timeout, which looks like it would at least do what is needed for logons (and maybe programs, too), but this has been discontinued. It doesn't matter if it's paid or free, just something that is maintained and compatible with Windows 7 64 bit.
I've seen TimesUpKidz, which seems to be good but just does logon limits (as far as I can tell) rather than programs as well.
I know it sounds quite unkind, but my stepdaughter can end up spending all day just playing games and watching videos on YouTube (and similar sites). Her mother wants to put some limits in place, which we have already done at router level for Internet access. We don't want to have to keep continually spend our time "policing" her, but rather she has predefined time limits (which has worked well with her Internet time) and give her responsibility for using her time.
Thanks in advance.
