Looking for an alternative to Roboform (password manager)

I'm looking for an alternative to Roboform with an option to attach the toolbar to Firefox *without* installing an add-on.

    Thank you.

LastPass works great with Chrome - not sure about FireFox. I gave up on RoboForm when they instituted the 10 URL limit for the free edition.

    Thank you.

As far as I know you can't attach LastPass's toolbar to the browser without installing the add-on. Is that correct?

Modifying the browser in any way implies installing an add-on of some sort (that's the purpose of the extensibility model). Unless the browser includes that function natively.

Thank you. You CAN do that with Roboform. - It doesn't work with Firefox 29.

How exactly do you get Roboform toolbar in Firefox without an add-on?? I am unaware of how to do that, and IF it is possible, the method may hold a clue as to why it no longer works in Australis. A Guy

    Hi Guy,

You can set Roboform NOT to install the Firefox adapter but to attach only (Options -> Browser Integration).
And then you run Roboform in the Task Bar.

Ahhh, thanks, RoboForm2Go + Adapter. Likely Roboform hasn't updated it for the new interface. I doubt if other password managers have that ability. I see KeePass has a portable edition

Download this ZIP package and unpack it to your favorite location (USB stick, ...). KeePass runs without any additional installation and won't store any settings outside the application directory.
Not sure what interface you get in browsers?

Thank you Guy. It's kind of you.

With Roboform I get a toolbar attached to the browser.
KeePass seems to be a good application, but - as far as I understand - it doesn't integrate into the browser.

Roboform is currently not working properly with FF 29. I understand they are trying to find a solution.

Roboform does work with FF29 with the add-on. I know you must have your reasons, but it must be just the method you use that doesn't work. FF29 introduced a completely different interface, it's not surprising it breaks things. A Guy
