HP ProtectTools Remove users

Win 7 professional 64 bit
HP Prrotect Tools shows logon buttons for old (not active) user accounts.
The old user accounts have been used in a former installation af windows, but have "survived" a reinstallation.

Furthermore these old accounts are not shown in the HP Prrotect Tools Administrative Console but their logon buttons are active with the rigth fingerprint.

How can I remove these logon buttons belonging to old user accounts?

hp ProtectTools security manager startup disables keyboard on exit
Not really sure if this warrants a thread, but I've just run across a nasty bug in hp ProtectTools that is preventing me from entering my BitLocker PIN at startup.
