One letter in nk2 doesn't list last used first
THe letter G in my nk2 auto fill doesn't list last used first, but lists alphabetically instead. Outlook 2010. Windows 7.

Welcome to the Seven Forums.
Delete that nk2 file and let Outlook rebuild it.
There are hundreds of addresses. I don't want to lose them all.
What if I copy the addresses into a new file? And how could I do that? Thanks!
Office 2010 (and above) doesn't really use a nk2 file...
...but the principle is the same.
Look in:
...Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\RoamCache\
You should see DAT files.
Make backup copies before editing any of these text files.
One of those DAT files might ba named something like auto complete...
I don't like/use the feature, so I don't have that file.
Open the file in notepad and remove just the e-mail addresses that start with G. Maybe when Outlook rebuilds that part of the list, they will be in the desired order (but I doubt it). If these e-mail addresses are also in your contacts (like they should be), then perhaps something in there is causing the sorting issue during the auto-complete prompts.
I have an nk2. I'm looking at it. Maybe legacy from Outlook 03.
I thought of just re-arranging in Notepad, but it's all that gobbledeygook.
Look at the date/time stamp on that nk2 file and maybe you can confirm that Outlook 2010 does not use it.
Do you have DAT files where I mentioned?
If so, does one of them have something like auto-complete in the file's name?
Is the date/time stamp on that current?
