Any lockdown software for Windows 7???

Now that microsoft have left out PC Safeguard, and Steadystate doesn't install in Windows 7, what are people doing to lockdown their PCs? Is there any similar products (other than DeepFreeze) which will put Windows 7 in a Kiosk type mode or prevent users from making changes in Windows 7?

Can't believe micros^&* dropped PC Safeguard, at least it was something.
Now nothing from them to say when/if it will appear for Windows 7, and no statement on when/if SteadyState will be updated to work with Windows 7.

You would have thought the numpty Steadystate development team at micros%^& would have been working on an upgrade while Windows 7 has been on RC and beta since the day dot... But no, they don't think of things like that.

So, any other products that can do the job?

    Thanks

Oh I so agree and this is crucially where big companies like M'soft loose business to rival OS providers. Its as though they like to self implode. We all know they monitor forums but just don't seem to be pro or even re active

Agreed, is a shame about SteadyState. Perhaps using Group Policies (gpedit) ? -- although not available in home premium.

There are many security/kiosk apps out there that simplify the Group Policy editor. We use one called Secure Lockdown by Inteset. It eliminates the need to futz around with a billion settings. It's perfect for Windows 7 kiosks (we use it with Windows 7 Premium).
