Installation Error 1:5 2: Failed to ... anchor service 3.0

    Hi All,
I'm really in need of some help. I have been trying to re install autoCad 2013 for 2 days now and not getting anywhere. I have tried every possible solution and each one seem to be putting me in more trouble. I was having some issues with my computer and this cause autocad to be running very slowly. For this reason I uninstalled it, as well as everything on the computer that was associated with Autodesk (suggestion from a forum elsewhere). All the time, once the installation reached "6 remaining out of 13", the error 1:5 2: Failed to install/uninstall the anchor service 3.0 is displayed and whatever was done up to that point is reversed. The program then says "autoCad fail to install". Would you be kind enough to assist?

He is a copy of the log file. This might assist in diagnosing the problem:AutoCAD 2013 Setup.log

I am in the process of doing a repair with the Windows 7 SP1. I am extracting the files now. Should I do the system scan first?

I did system scan 4 times. Results: Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
I then download and install/run system update readiness tool, reboot and did another system scan. Result: Same as above
I do not have a Windows 7 installation DVD. (Did not get one when I bought the PC bundle)
Should I go ahead and do the Repair Install with the Windows 7 SP1 Media Refresh (SP1 U) ISO file that I down load and extract earlier?

The thing is, I did not need to install any other program. But remember that my computer had other issues (which you helped in resolving). I eventually changed the battery. I uninstalled autoCad and everything related to autodesk (as was advised by other forum) because it started to be unresponsive to some commands. I then tried to reinstall it from a DVD since I changed the battery and for days now, I've been faced with what is in the first post of this thread.

Did you notice anything unusual in the log I attached in the first post?

Thank you all guys for your active or passive support. After 4 long days, and trying many different suggestions, the problem has been solved. I would say it took a combination of things from the different suggestions. Some of the things I clearly know I did in the latter part are:
    1. Restore to 4 days ago. This was the farthest restore point option I could go (due to battery problem that was resolved on that day). The AutoCad problem was not solved though.
    2. Went into Control Panel-Uninstall programs. Instead of uninstalling, I clicked on each Autodesk related program and selected repair or uninstall/change (depending on what is available for each selection). If the uninstall/change is used, a later prompt will give the option to repair. Do not uninstall! After each is repaired a success confirmation is displayed.
    3. After all was done, I restart Autocad. I started getting unable to load profile file and unhandled exception errors. There was also no ribbon etc. I closed it.
    4. I use the Elevated Administrator account to do the system scan (sfc /scannow). This finished with a message indicating that files were found and fixed as well as the path to a CBS log (with the errors found, I presume).
    5. With my fingers crossed, I again restart Autocad. The ribbon was there, everything was as good as new again. No error messages.

Some of the things I tried haven't been listed here, but I can say that I have been exposed to so many tools and applications that can help in the maintenance of ones computer.

The original issue was that some Autocad commands were not responding or responding erratically. I uninstalled it and tried to do a re-install. With each of the many tries it stopped before completing and returned the error 1:5 2: Failed to install/uninstall the anchor service 3.0. I detail this so that if anyone has similar issues, they may use different combinations of what I did.

    Thanks again to all.
