Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE). It's the most fluid AV with the OS. Let it update then run a full scan.
What about the file from the Find String command? Did it appear on your desktop?

I have copied the CBS log file from Windows > Logs > CBS Changed it from CBS to CBS.txt so that I can open it.

That's not a good sign. The driver store is also corrupt. Don't bother with the MS Fix.
Do you have any restore points prior to when the problem started? If not, looks like the only way out is a Repair Install.

No, unfortunately I do not have any good restore points left.
But, I don't have a Repair Install disc or a serial number. If I can make a Repair Install DVD myself how do I get a serial number?
What do you mean by serial number? Use the product key off your sticker. You can download the ISO from the link provided in the tutorial and create an install disc. You would use that disc for the repair install.
