Looking for patches to read ETA files - search returned no results

I was referred to this forum by a Wiki on ETA files. They stated that this forum would have links to patches that allowed my reading ETA files without downloading Google Earth. I would also like to know why (I have Google Desktop installed) my Windows log files show up as ETA files.

Welcome to Seven Forums RichardBentley. I'll begin by asking what it is you want to do? You say your Windows log files show up as ETA files? How/where are you viewing these files? Let us know what it is you want to do, and we'll see what all the ETA file business is.

Are we talking about Event Viewer?

Event Viewer - Open and Use in Windows 7

Give us as much info as possible, and we'll see if we can help.
