    CCleaner Registry Scan


    I've been deleting everything that the registry scan picks up and was wondering if this would do harm?

    It could possibly. It is a trustworthy program, but you should use the backup option, just in case.

    I would avoid all registry cleaners. The benefits are marginal at best and the dangers are very real.

    LMiller7 is very right and you should always make a backup when doing so. It is better safe than sorry.

My MSE was updating the defs without having to manually download and install. This past Sunday I ran CCleaner. After that, MSE stopped updating automatically. I can still get the def updates by manually doing it, I just wanted to know if running the CCleaner had anything to do with it.
Large amount of files during CCleaner scan

I upgraded to the latest version of CCleaner today (4.05) and upon running the Analyze button, its picking up 5 gigabytes of junk files... Ran CCleaner Registry Cleanup

There's a bunch of programs that I Decrapifed, I ran Revo and CCleaner, now I ran Registry Cleaner, I plan to make a backup, but is it alright to just delete this stuff?
I did a registry scan with ccleaner and it found a bunch of missing/broken items. I'm just wondering if its safe to delete these or "fix" them? I'm always hesitant to mess around with the registry in case I delete something thats needed for another program. thanks. ...
