    default icon preview

hi i hope that i'm at the right thread

i'm not so professional like most of the guys here but in my community i'm a good one

so about my problem, i installed adobe acrobat and adobe reader, and then i had some complications so i removed them both, so the default program for my PDF's became firefox browser.

so my problem is that even after i reinstalled acrobat and reader the default program stayed firefox even so that i checked while the installation of the reader that this should become the default program this is one problem why did this happen but this is not my main problem because for this i could just click and set the default program for whichever i want
my problem is that instead of the normal icon the icons of my PDF files became a white page with a symbol of reader or acrobat.
how can i fix this that it should show the right icon?

    thanks ahead for all responses

When experiencing problems with icons this is a good place to start
    Icon Cache - Rebuild
to deal with one icon then this may be more relevant
Default File Type Associations - Restore
