KEYBOARD & WIN7 Typing and cursor moves on its own

While typing on any keyboard, any version of Windows - XP, Win 7 or 8 or 8.1, all version of Windows ... while I am typing the cursor on its own travels elsewhere on the page. By the time I glance up it has moved somewhere else and has chopped off the word in half. Here is an example that just occurred:

"(By the time I look up I have had my word choere pped in half, located somewh)"

This even occurs when typing on my BBY Q10! Strangely I can find no reason or correlation except the Windows versions.

Appreciate any diagnosis and fix. Debra

You are using your laptop, most likely your hands are touching the trackpad and is moving the cursor.

When using a laptop, I push the button to disable the trackpad while I type so I do not have to worry about moving the mouse. Either that, or start adjusting your hands away from the mouse. Typing correctly actually avoids the mouse pad.
