How do i make java download

I'm trying to download java but it says | This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.| If you know what to do please tell me it would help as i was trying to work Minecraft at the moment.

I did and when i did it at the end where it asks about the toolbar i uncheck the the top 1 and click the next button and it pops up this. This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.

    Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
    Java is built into Chrome,
    Chrome actually updates it's self,

You really haven't verified which browser your attempting to download java for :/

Your system spec's say you use Chrome,
    Java is built in Chrome,
That's why allot of people prefer Chrome there's nothing really to maintain like Java or FlashPlayer,

Seems like a bad or damaged download file. Tried to download it again in full?
Also, cleaning any previous Java installations might help.

    Java and Google Chrome Browser
    Cheers.
Java is used for a lot more things than browsers, actually few sites actually have Java applets. Besides, the OP mentioned Minecraft, a desktop game, which suggest browsers are irrelevant to it.
