Error in installing some new programs "Object already exists"

3 installations now refuse to install onto my computer and I can't make any sense of why they won't install nor can I find an explanation anywhere on the internet.

Three completely different programs have refused to install.

    1. Adobe Reader

    2. BBC iPlayer

    3. Dawngate (moba game)

Each of these programs, towards the end of the install, stop on "Updating component registration" and a dialog box pops up with an error that only says "Object already exists"

Does anybody know what's going on here and how I can fix it? It'd be really nice to read my PDF's again.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I would recommend that you clean up your registry with CCleaner. As sometimes when you un-install a program the keys are still left in the Registry.

I used CCleaner to clean my registry, but the installations still aren't working and the installers are all still showing the same error.

Hi this has saved my bacon a few time after uninstalling something and using system restore to an earlier time and the fragments of the uninstalled programs return,
Fix problems that programs cannot be installed or uninstalled

Edit use the Installing programs option,
I believe you might have to repeat for each program not being able to install ?
I believe Revo uninstaller is a bit better than ccleaner when uninstalling programs ?
Possibly the newer version is better ccleaner that is ?
    Cheers.
