    Had the same issue....

Seems to be the way uTorrent installs seperately for each user account you have rather than once globally
    like most other programs
I got around the problem by choosing a different installation path for each user account

    eg. \Program Files (x86)\uTorrent#2\

After doing this the installation would continue to the end as normal without 'freezing'

When I try, it gets to the last screen and I hit "Install" and nothing happens. I have tried with the current stable version and the beta RC version with the same thing. I also tried turning off Avira AV both times and it still just sits there. Anybody have any ideas?
Forgot to say that I am using Win7-64.
I have the exact same problem! I recently got me a new computer and tried to install Vuze. That didn't work, I got an Error 7 when i tried installing it. So I tried with Uttorent instead, but as it says above "nothing happened" when I pressed the installbutton. I then tried Bittorrent with the same result.

Anyone found out what's wrong? Thanks!

I downloaded utorrent to check a theory out, it turned out as expected. It seems that the program asks for admin access at the final page (install button has the UAC shield icon, see attachment.) Rather than asking at the start for admin access like most other programs do.

You could have a issue with your UAC settings.

Remember donny, some trackers do not support bittorrent so it would be great to get utorrent working. Like previously suggested try downloading from a different browser and run the setup as admin!

The browser used should not make a difference as i've downloaded in IE, FF and GC just using the 'run' box rather than saving it to the 'Downloads' folder.

As stated above, try downloading the file then, once finished, right-click and select 'Run as administrator' and see if that helps.

Now it's working! It was as Tumult said. I had turned off the UAC-messages. When I turned it on I got a message, clicked OK and the the install began. Thanks!
