Wermgr.exe multiple instances Jamming processor time

This is a reboot of a similar thread in this same topic.

The file Wermgr.exe, which I understand is windows' error reporting app, is litterally going haywire on my system. From the moment I turn my pc on to the time I shut down as many as 20 or more instances of the app are running at a time. It's essentially like a virus has ahold of it. I've filled in as much spec info in my profile as I could supply. So far it's been 3 days of wermgr endlessly running so it's not a backed up queue and I don't think forcing the system to ask me about each report is gonna solve the problem. Anyone know if there's a virus that takes hold of the wermgr function?

I also want to add that I'm unable to update my NVIDIA graphics driver, installer gets to the point where it looks like it's actually going to DL and install the update aaaaaand.....frozen, EVERY TIME, the update crashes. Now, because I can't update, it looks like I can't watch certain kinds of videos.

Hello and welcome FoxTonic first up if you have not run these do so in safe made if necessary

    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html < use the /f and /r options in Option2 if necessary

the if those do not come up with anything try this
Download Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 < it will run from power up and scan just about everything if you suspect malware and there are more we can run too.
