    Java 8 Update

I know Java is bad, but so many web sites I go to requires Java. Well when I tried to update to the latest version it said that I had to go to update my Windows version. Will Java 8 work with XP or 7 ?

JAVA 8 works fine with Windows 7. I have not used it with Windows XP.

Apparently Java 8 has broken compatibility with XP, so if you have it still somewhere you should use Java 7 there at least. It's still supported and updated, and since Java 8 is still very new everything will work with it as of now. It will take a time to be really required to run any program.

It's not. If you use programs requiring it, you must install it, or forget about those.
