Welcome to Seven Forums rstandi. Try running the System File Checker

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

If no help, next time it happens, open the Event Viewer and see if you can find an error relating to Power Shell, and copy the full error info here

Event Viewer - Open and Use in Windows 7

When do you get this error? Are you actually using Power Shell? Have any scripts running? Happens at boot? Randomly? Anything common to when it happens? A Guy

It's random and pops up all the time. Mostly notice it when using Internet explorer.

I'll post to our gurus, but I'd run some scans to check for malware, or virus. They can often use powershell to run scripts.

    Malwarebytes free

Malwarebytes | Free Anti-Malware Detection & Removal Software

    SuperAntispyware Free

    SUPERAntiSpyware - AntiAdware. AntiSpyware. AntiMalware.

    Emsisoft free

Emsisoft Anti-Malware for best protection - Free removal of Viruses, Bots, Spyware, Keyloggers, Trojans and Rootkits (Choose the green download button. It says 30 days free, but that is 30 days of full program, then it reverts to free. You can choose the free when installing if you don't want the trial)
