Removed program with Revo Uninstaller, now my computer wont work!

OK, I hope this is the correct forum. I uninstalled a few different adware programs with Revo Uninstaller Pro, the one that caused my issue was YouTube AdBlocker, I am fairly certain, because it took forever, and had a ton of files associated with it (it has the option to scan for leftover files once the program is deleted with the options: safe, moderate, and advanced - I used advanced, and deleted all files it came up with, which is where I screwed up).

I have used this method many, many times with no issues, until now...

The thing that gives me hope, is that Revo creates a system restore point and a full registry backup.

After I deleted the file I mentioned above, I emptied the trash, and restarted my computer, which is when I realized I made a horrible mistake.

Once my computer rebooted, the desktop came up with no issues, but, all programs I have on my desktop and in my taskbar are white (instead of showing the image of the program), when I click on one, it tells me that it cannot open this item, and says that it might have been moved, renamed, or deleted, and asks me if I want to remove it (when I click on a program that is in the taskbar at the bottom); or if I click on a program on the desktop, it does nothing, the same happens if I click on a folder.

If I click on Computer, it tells me: "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."

If I right-click and choose screen resolution (like I do when I switch between my 3 monitors; only 2 work at a time) it tells me "Class not registered."

I have been using computers for a long time now, but, though I am computer illiterate, I have never experienced anything like this before...

Oh, also, I cannot connect to the internet since this occurred; though it wouldn't matter if I could, because I can't open a browser...

So, after googling how to restart in safe mode on my tablet, it said once you restart, as soon as the computer turns back on, to tap F8 in 1 second intervals, which I did, and it gave me the option to roll back to the point that Revo Uninstaller created when I initially deleted the YouTube AdBlocker program. I just got the message that system restore completed successfully, I'm restarting now, will let you know if this worked.

This worked, I apologize for "freaking out" and posting a thread; I am in college, and all of my work is on this computer... I am now using my computer to post this, everything appears to be working perfectly again.

The last thing I have to say, is that I love Revo Uninstaller Pro. Anyone can get the free version, which is what I use, and, just like the resolution to my issue, I love how it creates a system restore point and full registry backup.
