    unable to reinstall Adobe reader

last time I had uninstall Adobe reader 9 to install Adobe reader XI but reader XI didn't work, so i tried to uninstall that but even didn't uninstall them I have delete it from program file. now when I reinstall reader 9 its shows install complete but its not in there. looking at control panel program list, its like a folded corner blank page. why is that n what should I do?

It's possible that you're experiencing problems because the Windows Installer is looking for files in a temp folder that is no longer there.

Download Microsoft Installer Cleanup. Run as administrator and only select Adobe Reader 9 and/or Adobe Reader XI if in the list. (If not in the list exit out.) Click the remove button making absolutely sure no other programs other than Adobe Reader are selected. Try reinstalling Adobe Reader again. When you're finished you can remove the Microsoft Installer Cleanup from your computer.

    Run as Administrator

       Warning
Once you click the remove button, the changes are permanent. At a minimum I would suggest making a new restore point (better yet, a system image) just in case.
