    PDF files problem

I want to associate my pdf files with my Foxit pdf reader, however, when I populate the list of extensions to accept or change the default program, pdf is not on the list. I also have Adobe reader on my machine but I prefer the Foxit Reader. Thanks in advance.

Wild shot: are Acrotray or other Adobe applications enabled in Startup?

Check the Startup tab in System Configuration and uncheck any Adobe programs.

Right click on a pdf file and select properties
under General tab click "Change" next to Opens with
Select Foxit Reader. if not on list browse to the Foxit Reader program folder and select the Foxit Reader .exe

    1. No Adobe stuff in startup!
    2. Rustberger's solution works perfectly.
    Thanks to both. Problem solved.
