Will keep an eye open for further promotion and unfortunately the time differences sometimes make it hard to get there on time
For anyone still interested, the Pro version is available for free today at Giveaway of the day
It's a 1 year license.
Giveaway of the Day - free licensed software daily
Somehow, last year I lucked into a lifetime license of ZA with real-time and id theft protection, it runs very quietly on my 7 machine, I'm happy.
Still have 351 days left on my current license, didn't bother, but good reminder to someone who doesn't have it.

I really can't say if it's worth it or hype.
From what i've read AV programs, MBAM, etc. can remove keyloggers.
If they can remove these, do they also prevent them being installed if the security program is running real-time ?
On Win 7 i use Avast free and MBAM premium for realtime protection.
Maybe that is good enough to prevent keyloggers.
It is an extra layer of protection, so for me it's worth trying.
I created a backup image, installed Zemana AL.
If i don't like it or it causes problems, i'll restore the image.
I figure might as well try it when it's available for free, then it only costs my time.
It's too late to get this free offer (expired), but they may have other free offers in the future.
You could also test the trial version so you know how it works for you, and decide if you want it.
Appreciate the feedback David. I installed the free Pro from GOTD and gave it a try. My boot time increased from about 40 seconds to over 5 minutes. At various times during routine web browsing the computer would slow to a crawl and web pages needed 30 - 60 seconds to open. Some websites like this one and Ten Forums wouldn't open at all and timed out.
Once I reverted back to a system image all was good again. Not a complaint, just letting others know my experience. :)
Okay I can't comment on ZAL because I have not used it for a while. My understanding is that it now includesZAL[EDIT] ZAM (Zemana Anti-Malware) and I do use that. If ZAM is configured to use real time protection (optional) with cloud scanning (also an additional option) then I guess it does prevent key-loggers from installing.
You might be interested in this portable program just for peace of mind.
SpyDetectFree - Free Spyware Detector
Note: It only gives a report and does not remove anything. It's up to the user to investigate findings. I run it every couple of weeks.SpyDetectFree is a FREE tool mainly intended for detecting processes on your computer that might be spying on your keyboard or in other word for detecting processes that might be recording your keystrokes.
From my machine - process name obscured because of forum rules. Items that are highlighted would need investigation.
So I see that in addition to the unmentionable process there are concerns with my security suite which would be monitoring visited websites and the firewall will be monitoring connections and so on so nothing to be concerned about. Then there is Prio which is a task manager addon to checking file signatures for running processes and services. Again nothing to be concerned about.
