Utorrent Access Denied

    I am not sure what that last post was saying but this is what (seems to have) worked for me:
    Go to properties of the folder you want to save files to, click advanced settings.
    Change permission on the System to take away the ability to change attributes on that folder.

    After researching around the theory seems to be that some program is running by the system that turns the files to read only. Different people have disabled different services depending on OS. This permission change should prevent any Local System run services from making the read-only flag change.

    The most current Utorent program is at version 1.8.5 not that it would make any changes. Just wanted to post that info.

    It may not be the same for everyone but I've found that by running the uTorrent installer file as an administrator, there aren't any file access problems no matter what folder or library you store torrents/completed torrents, etc. in.
