Immersive Explorer - alternative Explorer

Immersive Explorer - A Metro style Explorer replacement for Windows 7 or Windows 8.

The app is wrapped in an installer and portable package, so you can choose not to install it and run it in portable mode if you want to try it. I've been using it for a couple of days in portable mode and it's growing on me.

Looks like a fresh File Manager replacement for Windows Explorer [Win7] or File Explorer [Win8]. It does have tiles for opening Web sites from Favorites or Links, did mine in Firefox. I found it interesting that I could open a music file on an External USB drive and it played seemingly without opening Windows Media Player [I opened WMP and the song was not listed].
