    Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
I'm unaware of any windows 7 calendar :/
Usually a calendar is associated with a email service so what email service do you use
    Yahoo/ gmail/ at&t/ Comcast/.... ?

Are you talking about this one?

It is controlled by Timedate.cpl, a system element.

Run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker and see how it goes.

If SFC scannow does not help, fill up your system specs so that we can do something further.

See your system specs and fill it up here.

See the links above my signature to take and upload screen shot here and provide one of the calendar your having the issues with because as far as I know Firefox doesn't have a calendar either,
Firefox is a browser not a email service but please post a screen shot of this calendar so we might at least see it and someone might recognize it :)
    Cheers.

    Okay possibly,
The Agenda gadget you can add notes.... to it by clicking on the date,
If this looks familiar Right click your desktop back ground and click on Gadgets,
On page 1 on the top left you should see the Agenda gadget listing simply drag it to your desktop,
    Attachment 346196

One catch is if you have downloaded or updated your Internet explorer to 11 gadgets will disappear,
You'll need to download this package to get it back or uninstall the ie11 windows update to get your original gadget back hopefully with your events... in tact ?
But let us know if either look familiar
    Cheers.
