    Videos keep stopping and starting

Hi no expert at all with all this, but from what I can gather I think Adobe Flash is the cause of videos always stopping or crashing. I'm running Win 7 64 bit on Firefox but understand that Firefox is a 32 bit browser, also being told by Adobe that I've got the latest version yet everything still keeps stopping or crashing. Beyond that I haven't a clue what to do next....

All suggestions very much appreciated thanks :)

Disable Hardware Acceleration and see if it improves: Open a flash video, right click on the video, select Settings, choose the leftmost tab and uncheck.

Unfortunately neither worked always the revolving blue circle or endless series of dashes....? Could it perhaps be a poor internet connection ?

To me it sounds like a browser issue. You can download some flash video (.flv) and then run it from Windows Player, see if you still have issues.

You can uninstall and reinstall both FF and Flash, see if that would help, too.

Can FF after several routine updates become corrupted etc. then as I can't remember doing it before ? And is it the same with Flash too ?

I haven't downloaded an .flv before either, how do you do that ?

Thanks for the great help ! :)

You can use e.g. Freemake for the video download.

Uninstalled and re-installed FF and Flash but still just as slow so presumably neither were corrupted ? Downloaded an .flv which seemed a bit better but still slow, however tried disabling hardware acceleration yet again and although still a bit stuttery when starting now seems ok, so no idea what it could have been.

Great and thanks a lot for all the help ! :)
