    Cyberlink power DVD 8 & 9

Is anyone using either of these and experiencing problems? I am. In power dvd 8 deluxe with the patch. It will not start on auto run. It tries but then 7 says it is having problems and needs to close, yet when I close it and go to my computer>click on the dvd>run with power dvd 8 it works just fine. Any Ideas why? Then with 9 it runs like it should but when I try and change the settings it freezes, and requires a reboot. Thanks. Fabe

Don't really have an answer but I'll tell you what I'd do if it was my system.

Completely uninstall all PowerDVD/Cyberlink apps. Search around the hard drive manually in users folder (user logged in and "All Users") for references and delete. Make sure Cyberlink and/or PowerDVD folders are gone in Program Files. Delete if needed.

Then use jv16 PowerTools to scan the registry on most aggressive. Delete everything it finds. It doesn't make errors so no worry.

    Reinstall PowerDVD9.

I'd like to ask why Power DVD ultra 8 doesn't show the subtitles for DVDs. I tried different DVDs, all with subs. They work fine on my machine (that runs on XP) but it's a 7 x64 i'm having the problems with.
    Thanks.
