Mount Iso image using Microsoft Virtual CD-ROM Control Panel?

    Hello,
Firstly, I'd like to apologize if I am posting in the incorrect section.
I download Microsoft's Virtual CD-ROM, Download Virtual CD-ROM Control Panel from Official Microsoft Download Center
And followed the instructions in the readme.txt file
I get an error, "The handle is invalid" when I try to add the VCdRom.sys on step #4.
I'm not exactly sure what I am doing wrong.
I would prefer to use a Microsoft product, rather then a 3rd party tool like Virtual Clone Drive, or whatever else similar to it.
Has anyone else tried this Microsoft Virtual CD-ROM tool and gotten this error?
    I am running Win 7 Pro x64.

Iv never used it but it is not supported my Microsoft so I would just use clone drive, imo its he best unless you have something like deamon tools already. Try running the installer on step 4 as admin, that error normally means you don't have low level access to the file your trying to open. I use clone and deamon for refrence.

The run as admin fixed it, thank you, both for your time and help! Much appreciated!

Glad you got it sorted, is it basically like the built-in one that WIN 8 uses?

Yes exactly. I'm just trying to keep my setup as stock as possible right now.
