    Macrium Reflect

When I was trying to install Macrium Reflect, my antivirus canceled the install and counted it as a threat. Does anyone know why?

I have never seen that before - even when I had Norton. Put it on the exclusion list in Norton.

I checked the Macrium download from Filehippo.com with Virus Total and it was clean.

Your lucky Norton stopped it or you would be cleaning your system for days getting rid of all the B/S Cnet would of installed.

Never go to Cnet. Filehippo or Ninite or the manufacturers site for downloads. But Ninite does not have Macrium.

Well, I got it installed. I installed it from another site, but Norton still looked at it as a threat. But, now that I have it installed I would like for someone to help me set it up and tell me what to do with it. Its asking me to burn a rescue media.

Yes, the WinPE rescue medium you have to burn. Else you will not be able to ever recover from an image. Here is a tutorial:

Macrium directs you to CNET. And Norton is now showing

It looks like Norton is giving this for other CNET downloads - Filehippo is fine.
This used to be allowed and CNET gave the same (bit for bit) downloader exe as the other safer sites.
We have had this discussion before but it is a worry when Macrium point you here.
