    New Skype gripe

Skype claims that they don't use cookies for third-parties. Also, in their Options settings you can opt not to use Skype cookies. They lied. After opening Skype, CCleaner shows that not only are there Skype cookies installed, but there are also several cookies for Bing and MSN installed. Recently, I read that Skype also supplies the National Security Agency with any data that they request. The NSA does not worry me (much), but I abhor those cookies! Maybe this is why I keep seeing my IE search provider being changed from Norton Safe Search to Bing. It even removes the Norton Search from available search engines to use ... even if I tick off the "Prevent software from suggesting changes ..."

I am also very vigilant about not installing bundled software when I download an application. There ought to be a law, and if so, how do we see that it's enforced? It's gotten to where I shut down IE and run the cleaner(s) after EVERY web site that I visit. So tedious!

Skype, Bing, and MSN are all owned by Microsoft so they are probably not considered as third-party to them.
