    Libre Office

I have used MS Office 2003 for many moons and I still like it but if I go to Windows 10, it will be no good I am told. I don't feel like spending a few hundred bucks on MS Office to get current. Has anyone here used Libre Office for an extended amount of time? I would like to know if you have had problems reading the MS 2003 files. This would be my main concern if I switch.

    I don't use it because I don't own a computer

But I support several people that do use it every day. The mian complaint that I have not been able to solve is with PowerPoint presentations. Most of them just don't make the transition across suites. And the same is true for presentations made with MS Office on an Apple product. Those files often look bad when played back on a Windows based computer.

You can create a presentation using LibreOffice Impress and save it as a PPT file. In theory, it should look the same when opened using MS Office. In practice, it often looks bad, has missing info and some slide transitions fail. other than that, its fine :-/

If you don't use MS PowerPoint, then you none of the above matters.

I tried LibreOffice before and I don't like it. I bought office 365. And you can always get discount if you want to.
But if you only need to edit or view docs. I think there's no problem
