Windows 7: Exif (metadata) viewer/reader

Exif (metadata) viewer/reader

Hello!

Basically what I'm looking for is (preferably free) software (standalone) that does what this site does:
Jeffrey Friedl's Exif (Image Metadata) Viewer

So, reading through a vast array of file extensions and displaying detailed metadata of the files. I'd love the program to have a batch ability so that I could search a whole folder or a drive for all the files which include metadata and have them displayed (regardless of the extension).

Any suggestions are welcome and much apprecated.

Maybe look at Wildbit Image Viewer (portable). It can search metadata in folders/ subfolders. It can aslo export all image info including metadata to comma separated value text file (can be renamed from .txt to .csv to view in spreadsheet)

That looks interesting, thank you. But I'd like an universal program that wouldn't only look for metadata in picture files but in all files (DOC, PDF etc. too). Do you know any like that? Like the online feature I've linked in the first post but as a standalone program.

Well I haven't used this software but you can test if you think it will do what you ask.

Thank you but I've found another program, almost what I was looking for so it will do: Free EXIF Eraser

Anyway, thanx!

Does Win 7 limit Copyright Exif metadata?
I updated the copyright data in my Canon EOS T4i/650D for the new year and was not seeing copyright metadata, usually in Exif area, when viewed on my Windows 7 desktop. I just bought this computer in December 2016 even though it's a 2011 system, it's fast for me. ExifTool utility doesn't see it. ...

FastStone Image Viewer and Missing Location Metadata
FastStone Image Viewer (free, from faststone.org) is the only image viewer that gives me exactly what I want in a viewer to display all my photos, except for one important feature: it will not preserve the location data (lat., long.) if the original .jpg (or RAW) is converted to .tif or to .psd in...

Best Windows 7 photo manager that keeps EXIF data

Show EXIF data as tooltip
When I was using XP I had installed a useful shell extension called Exif Infotip which would show EXIF data if you hovered the mouse pointer over an image file. That doesn't seem to work in Win7. Anybody know of a similar facility that will work in Win7 or even show the Exif data in the file...
