    Itunes won't update

I had iTunes on my computer. I tried to install to the newest version, but it looked for an uninstall file somewhere in my user profile. It never found the file, so it couldn't uninstall, nor could the new version install. It's version 11.3.0.43. I tried manually uninstalling following the instructions here, but that did nothing to help. Whenever I try to run a fresh install, it still gives me that "file not found on the network" message (even though that file was never on a network). Any ideas?

    Hiya.

Have you tried to just update to latest version through Apple Software Update?

Yep. The first step in the update is uninstalling the old version.

Hm okay well did some searching and found this thread, I'm not certain if the person had the exact same issue but maybe you can try it out?

And if that fails, maybe using Microsoft FixIt would help, for example this one, which is a fix for if a program cannot be uninstalled or installed:
