You might try this then and pick lost partition. It names files oddly as it names it as the how the os actually understood them on the partition table I believe.

I talked to a professional data recovery company and they basically said that I won't be able to retain the original file structure. They said based on how my files were deleted, I could only recover raw files with random filenames and no original file location. It would be up to me to decipher all the files and reorganize them. These guys are paid professionals and they're saying they couldn't do it so It looks like i have months of organizing ahead of me... I think i might prefer the program you sent me over active@file because active is just overly complicated although definitely usable... The minitool takes forever to finish scanning but the results are far more decisive an it's clear on what i can and cannot recover. Here's a pic

All the data is in the raw files folder and the folder structures are empty so i guess active@file and the company were right, and its not possible to keep file names/location.

sigh..15TB of raw files to crawl through......

Yeah crawling through the raw is your only way, it sucks I know iv had to do it. You can try testdisk for last resort but it is pretty technical. TestDisk - Partition Recovery and File Undelete--------TestDisk Step By Step - CGSecurity

I took a quick look at it on youtube. it looks like the same deal, no file name, no file location. Thanks for the mention though

It's the same deal unless you bring the whole partition back as one unit, but it does seem yours is to far gone for that now. I always run it through an older version of parted magic so the drive is not mounted. Those other solutions can only find what it can when it's mounted.
