    windows installer problem again

    Greetings
I'm trying to install Acronis True Image 2015 on a quite new Windos 7 sp1 and received Windows installer error message.
attached please find the error window. I have no error number. I tried to download new version, trial version and all resulted with the same error windows.
Next I followed Microsoft and Tomhardware recipes to handle this problem but none helped.
Those recipes are quite identical to recipes I found in sevenforums for various error numbers of windows installer problem.
    Any advice?
    Thank you

Have you tried this MS FixIt yet? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...?wa=wsignin1.0

You could also try restoring default Windows Installer service - Services - Restore Default Services in Windows 7

I haven't try microsoft fixit (it is the first time I hear about it), but I found the restore windows installer as a downloadable reg file and tried it. It didn't help. But It handles msiexec in system32 and the applications I tried to install (acronis true image) is 64bit so maybe I need something for msiexec in syswow64? or is it the same reg file except for the address?
But I'll try windows fixit and report.
The windows 7 is quite new so sfc /scannow found nothing. It means that none of the few applications installed so far (Adobe, Corel) changed any original system file.
But since windows is new there were no updates so far and maybe windows installer (from 2009) should be updated to install acronis 2015?
Is there anyway I can update windows installer or just wait for automatic updates patiently?
    many many thanks!

System32 is correct, SysWow64 is for 32bit applications. Nice naming convention, right?

Yes, wait for Windows Updates (may or may not solve your issues), and keep manually searching for new updates until you get the message there are no more updates available.
