    looking for a PDF printer. Printer dialog will then print to PDF


    I have found several but either they error, or they put a watermark or they just dont work.

    Which ones have you tried?

    Found an error that some PDF printer drivers dont like this line.

    Printer.PaperBin = printDlg.PaperBin ' this line causes a 380 error with some PDF printer drivers

    Anyway, I found this one works with no watermarks, doPDF 8.

    hmmm pdf creator popped up an avast viral malware warning, now the installer is hung up.
    seems to have halted the install.
    Attached Thumbnails Attached Thumbnails looking for a PDF printer. Printer dialog will then print to PDF-pdfcreatorvirus.png

    Although it is installed the PDF printer, I suppose Avast halted the install of the 'additional bagage'
    I just tested PDF creator in my program and it does work ok, like doPDF 8..

    Bolt PDF works ok.
    Free PDF Printer Software - Print Documents Directly to PDF

    So far Bolt PDF, doPDF 8, PDF Creator (with caveats) are working ok with no watermarks.
    I had to modify my program which a few were causing errors, a couple of them had issues with that particular printer property.

    Sorry about the malware. I'm glad Avast caught it. I have an older version that I've never had an issue with. But I definitely won't be recommending it anymore if it ships with malware.

    Apparently it is just the installer.
    Warning: The PDFCreator installer is bundled with OpenCandy. See our information page here for more details.
    I verified PDF24, PDFCreator, Bullzip, doPDF8 all work ok.

    PDF24, takes you to an insecure site according to Chrome browser.

    I hate the way some of this freeware is bundled with crap like OpenCandy. It makes me not want to use any of it. The freeware/shareware producers are just harming their own products by doing this.

    I won't upgrade ImgBurn for the same reason. I use an old version where the installer doesn't contain malware.

    I have used Bullzip with W7 with no problems. My Adobe Standard also works well for printing to .pdf, although it defaults to color and I always have to go to the menu and choose black and white.

Windows 7 pro, print dialog box shows default printer as last choice. How get it to the top so don't have to scroll down before click? Sometimes it will show up first if chosen just a while before, but not often.
Hi, I just purchased an used computer with Windows 7Home Premium x64, this is an HP Slimline s5610f. The problem that I have is with a Brother HL 2040 series printer. It gave me a really hard time to install the drivers that I downloaded from the Brother website I kept getting a "0x00000057" error...

When I click a link in Favorites a print dialog box opens. It will do this for all favorites old and new. I uninstalled and reinstalled IE9 and IE8 but the problem still persists. I ran the MS Fix It app to reset IE settings but still no help. I wanted to do a complete reinstall of IE but...
