Boxcryptor and Dropbox

I have a Dropbox file that I wish my uncle to see whenever he likes. I've simply given him my Dropbox login details. If I were to encrypt that file with boxcryptor, how would uncle be affected - would he merely need an extra password or would he need to have boxcrypt installed on his PC?
Thank you.

Boxcryptor needs to be installed on his system.

Cryptsync is a nifty alternative. It's effectively a wrapper around 7 Zip, using its password facility. Free.

Hi Golden. I've given it a go using my Virtual Machine and it works very well. I've told uncle to install 7zip. You have my grateful thanks.

How to pin DropBox to taskbar?
When I try to do it, it pins Windows Explorer instead, so I have to right click and select the DropBox folder from the list. It would nice if there was a way to directly go to the folder.
