    Windows 7 and Photo shop cs3 issues.

    Anyone else have issues using PS cs3 with 7? I keep getting the screen that windows has detected a problem and tries to fix it. It doesnt and the program shut down? Is there a fix for this? Is PS cs3 not compatable with windows 7?

    Thanks

    CS3 and 4 are compatible. can you go inteo event viewer (type event viewer ins search) and go to the windoew log>application tab. Look for errors (red in left hand column) that relate to app crash, app hung, etc. note the event ID ans source codes and let us know them

    Thanks in advance

    Photoshop CS3 works fine on Win 7 64 bit. If you have any Photoshop setting copy them to another folder. Use Windows Install Clean Up to uninstall Photoshop. Delete the photoshop folder. And reinstall Photoshop.

    photoshop cs3 and win7

    hey JAM;
    if you are installing plugins for photoshopcs3 some plugins may make your system unstable. some may be 16bit or 32bit plugins that are incompatible. it happened to me with some of the older alien skin plugins.

    I read in another forum that The only problem is that Adobe CS3 "will not run in Windows 7 Home Premium. You need Professional or Ultimate to run in Vista or XP mode to have the program work. Home does not support Vista or XP modes." Is that true? I am just about to purchase a new computer with Windows 7 and want to avoid any problems with CS3.

    That's basically the same as saying that CS3 won't really run under Win7. The "XP Mode" is really running XP in a virtual machine. I hope that's false.

    CS3 is on the compatibility list for Win7. I hope that Microsoft wouldn't be so misleading as to declare it compatible, but only in XP mode.

    I haven't tried CS3. I'm using CS4, mainly to get the 64 bit version.

    I am also having problems with Photo shop cs3 not responding when I try to shut it down. I have found out by trial and error that if I uninstall the adobe flash player my problems disappears. The only problem with that is I need flash player to view video on line.
