I'll boot in safe mode again and start up each one like you mentioned.

Almost. they give you a boot dvd that you can use to restore an image with. I have competely hosed my OS 3-4 times. Im back runnin with my apps in 30 minutes. Acronis also backs up parts of drives like folders, files, system state, and a bunch more. I have used just about every backup restore option out there. from the insane built in one to Norton Ghost.

With acronis it backs up mbr, hidden, bit by bit. Its so good i have actually gotten lazy about backing up. Its scheduled and it works. even have a limited free home version and a full version trial. No I dont work for them <g>
