How do I get my hands on a Windows 7 Home Premium 32-Bit

I don't usually look for help on this forum because I can find answers thru other ppl's threads which is good, thanks "sevenforum community" once again . But I anywho I recently fired up one of my old TOWER CPU computers and it is running Windows XP 32-bit OS.. I already have a DBAN in hand to permanently format my "Hard Drive" to start from scratch and Install Windows 7. But the question is, where can I get my hands on a LEGITIMATE Windows 7 Home Premium 32-Bit for free or purchase because I can't find it?

P.S. This old CPU is an eMachine from 2004, which I purchase new 11 years ago that was already install with Windows XP in it.

I hope I can get a legit reply ASAP

    Thanks.

    Hi,
Being this machine was an x-p I believe win-7 would be a mistake because I doubt you have much ram on it
32 bit win 7 needs at least 3gb of ram or at least that is my view as a minimum to run it well
It might work okay for Linux 32 bit though but win-7 is a stretch

I wouldn't waste a good oem/ system builders copy of win-7 on the old mother board personally.
And once activated the copy is stuck with that machine whether it works or not
Time to look for a refurbished or new machine.

You can get the install ISOs from the Windows site typically. They'll usually let you install the OS but you have about 3 days or so to activate it before they lock you out. I would download the ISO, run through the install to see if you really feel that it will run well enough. Then if it looks like there won't be any issues, you can go ahead and buy a license key from windows or a 3rd party reseller like Newegg.

Personally if the machine is 11 years old, you really need to get a new box. You're likely going to see issues poping up here soon at that age of a computer. And even if your machine can handel the minimum system req for Win7, that's still the minimum for 7 to run. You can't do much more than browse websites & low impact applications.

If you're considering buying a new box but want to keep the current machine still, i'd take ThrashZone's above advice & throw a Linux 32 bit os onto that machine. They make some good very low impact OS' like XUbuntu that use little to no resources.

The odds of finding a proper legal site to download Windows 7 with out a proper COA key in hand is slim to none.

If the COA is legitimate, i know a few folks that could use a Win 7 license.
I'll believe it when i see it
