    Getting rid of Ask Bar

I have a friends laptop given to her by her son who has loaded heaps of crap most of which I can get rid of but the one that is proving tenacious is the Ask Bar and it in Programs and Features seems to be attached to Limewire which tells me I do not have enough privileges to change.

Any ideas please as i have tried searching to registry for anything vaguely associated and tried some Googles but cannot shift it.

If that is a bar in the IE, I would try to approach it in the Settings.

Ok Wolfgang mate I see it still has IE8 on the machine and so I used the Chrome. It is still there is part because SAS took the best part of it away and since posting I have found heaps of rubbish stuff in the registry (took a lot of Googling to find what the crap was but once IE has updated (no updates since Adam was a child) I'll try out what you suggest .
