Ok, that means you have working ESET with this conditions:
1. You have Windows 7 64-bit RTM
2. You have ESET Smart security 64-bit
3. You have any download manager
4. You can leave PC (download manager) to download 10-15GB of data and memory doesnt fill up?
Are that all correct?
Becuse we have here: https://www.sevenforums.com/network-i...tml#post239371 a few members with same problems with combination of ESET 64, W7 64 and downloading lots of data via download manager, and after uninstaling ESET everything is working
I almost want to say Mozilla Software since they have joined the EU fiasco to try and claim a few bucks and recongition from Microsoft
I made the mistake of trying to install Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 from the CD copy I use with Vista Ultimate. It seemed to install, told me I needed an update, got the update and when it installed promptly crashed Win 7 RC1 32bit. A repair didn't work and I had to do a complete re-installation.
However the beta version trial Sven mentions works just fine, hard to find on Kaspersky's site but Win 7 offers a link to it if you don't have an AV program installed.
Fair enough...suppose I didn't read your post correctly then as I do not use any download managers.
To be fair though, you did not mention "download manager" in your post.
You stated:The bold secton could mean anything and does not reference a "download manager" of any kind.ESET 4 64-bit - eating memory while downloading (untill PC stop respond) when instaled on windows 7 64-bit.
I have a bittorrent app always going and download many things using Opera without issue, regardless of file size.
Yes, my bad, i didnt mention download managers
System Mechanic 9 does work in Windows 7 however it corrupted Backup and Restore. Required a re-install to get it working again.
Also Norton Ghost 14 will not install at all in Windows 7. It does not recognize the operating system.
having trouble with slysoft Clonedvd2 install, unlike any dvd and GameJackel were fine
