    Hi Swarfega,

I believe the issue with Registry defraggers is because Win 7 is not (usually ) on the system partition.

It seems to be defragging across drives that causes the issue. Tho. I haven't tried it, I suspect they would work fine if Win 7 partition was both boot and system partition. (As is usually the case with Vista installs ).

I do not think the app. is necessarily incompatible with7, more with the partition organization.

Thanks for the thought. Its probably best to avoid reg defraggers in general then for Win7 at least.

Comodo has given me nothing but headaches, including the latest updates and betas. I have had system crashes during uninstalls which mess up my network connections. I am now using Windows 7 built in firewall and after a bit of configuring to handle my port fowarding it seems to run great. I have had no security issues. I use NOD32 as my antivirus program.

Just an FYI, I use AVG Free, and have had no problems on my rig with it. It scans automatically every night, and haven't had any problems installing drivers, or anything for that matter.

I always try to keep programs at a minimun on my laptop - the other computer is a different story...but when I tried to install Nokia suite on Windows 7 (I need it to get acess to my mobile phone) in swedish it did'nt work...when I switched language to english it worked...funny, because I can install other programs in swedish on Windows 7....for example have I Microsft Word in swedish and that's no problem...also some other stuff...I have of course the english version of Windows 7.

Just a thought. But might it be an idea to say which build of Windows 7, the relevant apps dont work on.There are many apps that work fine on build 7000 and not on 7022...and vice versa

no because its only the beta 7000 build we're interested in, the one that was officially released.

    Alcohol120 and Daemon Tools also.

Apparently the virtual S/PDIF driver they both use is refused by Win7.
