    DDRESCUE on a failing drive

Okay so I have been running DDRESCUE on this failing drive to clone it, now I have a problem cause it says rescued 750104 mb and ipos/opos it's at 24088 but it seems to go down and up with that number it's been running for 17.87h.... Errors keep changing to it says 692 but was at 700 or 800 can't fully remember.

I ran DDRESCUE -d -f -r3 would the r3 be why the ipos changed? And keeps changing cause it's retrying?
