Aqua Dock program no longer loading

I have Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 BIT. I while ago I installed Aqua Dock (Aqua Dock Download - Softpedia), an OS X type docking bar program for quick launching programs. It always worked fine but suddenly (possibly after a recent windows update) it no longer loads.

If I run it I can see the process start (in task manager) and then just close. I tried changing it to run in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode and then it will work, but now everytime I restart I get the Windows 7 message asking if I want to allow this program to make changes.

I'm not sure why it just stopped so I was wondering if anyone uses this program or has any ideas.

    Thank you.

The latest round of updates seem to be causing a lot of issues:

latest win 7 update killed all my gadgets

Try uninstalling KB3097877. Control panel > Windows Updates > Installed updates. See if that resolves your AquaDock issue?
Think MS are looking into that update.

Seems Microsoft has issued that patch again so might be okay to reinstall it again in future. Although I would personally wait a few days.

Thanks. I had installed 25 updates so I wound up restoring to before the updates and it worked again. Then I just reinstalled the updates, a few at a time restarting each time, and now all updates are installed again and it is working. I did this before reading your post of the specific update that might be the problem.

So I guess the updates were fixed or maybe one didn't install properly

    Thank you
