Look to see if you have the C:\Windows\HelpPane.exe file.

I put the cursor on a blank space on my desktop and clicked F1.
In Process Explorer i see HelpPane.exe started.

Perhaps I don't have winhlp.32.exe because " windows help and support is not listed in msc.services

I don't think it it supposed to be listed in services on Windows 7. As for "invalid attachment" - I tried attaching a replacement image but it will not display.

    Another try:

I see that too. It also runs if I click the "help button" in an explorer window.

Hello DavidE and thanks for your response :)

I just tried your suggestion, put curser in black area of desktop and pressed F1. Nothing, but now I have a smaller Desktop with two big side bands that are black and where my curser can't go. Also now at this very moment the page of seven forums that I type in, has these to black sides.

I'm no expert but to me it seems you have more problems than just Help and Support not working.
Run a System File Check and see if you have errors that can't be fixed.
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

I searched my C drive and i don't have a bcmwlhlp.chm file you show in your screen print.
I don't know what that file is, where it came from, etc.
If you double click it, does it open help for something ?
