    Foxit reader corrupted

Since XP and now win 7 i have been using and satisfied with Firefox's reader "Foxit". Lately i have been 'hit' with reminders of an update for this reader and finally said yes to my regret. It was an update for this reader to be able to create pdf files. Well, it must have missed my eye and now each time I get an option to read a pdf file, it generally would start Foxit reader, but now cause of that update, that is all i get and am not for some reason able to read my pdf files anymore. When I do a search to see if I could download the older version, only this updated version appears. I could not find my original program cause the update must have overwritten it. Has anyone got a answer for this? If not, could anyone recommend another reader that is 100% free?

Nothing to do w/Firefox AFAIK, but I too have enjoyed Foxit Reader for years and not too long ago I checked several generations of this and settled on 3.3.1.0518.

You might want to try that one first using the link Lance1 kindly provided, and of course you should completely uninstall your current Foxit before installing.

Thanks, guys...hope ASK does not come with it. I tried once by unchecking those boxes about ASk toolbar and etc, and yet they were still installed....regardless, I hope to delete ASK anyway.

I don't remember, but if it did/does, it did not install here (I'd have unchecked ASK as I always look for that sort of junk).
