Remote connect software recommendation?

Hi,
Would anyone be able to suggest software to enable a remote connection to another terminal over the internet/WAN for support. must offer Windows 7 support, XP would be a bonus.
This will be so that a user can remote connect to a computer to be able to operate system files/ install programs and operate simple editing software, also screen recording software.

I've looked at a few but I was wondering if anyone had one that would be most suitable and fit these needs best.

Thanks for that I'll have a research of it, price isn't really an issue if the product works effectively.

I've had a look at team viewer, however the subscription model is monthly billing, the organization paying wont allow monthly billing, are there any recommended that have a one off payment for purchase?

I've been using TeamViewer for many years and no problems here.

As the OP is in a business environment, this might be important if Chrome is considered.
