Setting preferred software when selecting a photo

When I click on a photo in Windows Explorer, I would like to have it start a particular software. I seem to have forgotten how to set the preferences. Any suggestions?

I think this will help with that,

Open With - Change Default Program

If your photos are different file types you probably have to do that for each. (jpeg, png, etc.)

You may be able to do it in the software itself too but you don't say which software.

Thsnk you for your help. The problem was with the software my wife uses for printing photos (Paint Shop). A new version came out. I downloaded it and it was very different and she could not figure out how to use it. It was automatically the default software for jpg files. I'm going to change the default to the previous version until she gets used to the new one.
