Hello and welcome amjrl now I am assuming those programs are showing in Programs and Features in the Control Panel??

I do notice too you are relying on just the firewall so why no AV suite as such??

Would not hurt to run these too
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
Disk Check < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2

if no go then these

SUPERAntiSpyware | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!
Malwarebytes | Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium
AdwCleaner Download
delete any rubbish found with the malware scans
(NB If one is running Kaspersky security it may rant about ADW - just ignore it or disable Kaspersky while the ADW is being used)

Yes the restore point is good idea but it would be good to do those scans first mate because you have had no AV on board and have been into torrent stuff which I do not do personally use and if not careful can get soem unwanted stuff on the machine.

Now I strongly advise you to put some sort of AV protection on the machine and there are plenty of free ones too see the real time stuff from here but I wouldn't advise AVG Trend or McAfee Free Windows Desktop Software Security List | Gizmo's Freeware

Now if the first scans I suggested do not do much then I would myself run this Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 you do need to make a bootable disk or stick but it runs in a non Windows environment so is quite independent of the OS.
